Straddling the Bare-knuckle era and the Gloved era, this program features boxers who fought in both disciplines of the day.
Some of the notables at this event:
Johnny Murphy (of Boston) - Known as "The Birmingham Sparrow". He fought for many lighter weight title belts during his career, while claiming some for himself. Fought many top opponents of the day, including: George Dixon, Billy Plimmer, Ike Weir, Pedlar Palmer, Torpedo Billy Murphy and many others.
Jimmy "Jemmy" Doherty - He doesn't have a lot of known fights on record, but he appears to have been a frequent opponent of the great George Godfrey during this time period.
