Year - 1937
Great image of Halas signing the drafts #1 overall pick to the Chicago Bears. Francis, out of Nebraska, is a College Football Hall of Famer and a member of the 1936 Olympic Track & Field team (shot-put).
Vintage 1937 Press or Wire Photograph. "Wirephoto" type. Credit stamp on back of photo.
SIZE - Photo measures about 8" x 9 3/4" inches.
CONDITION - Photo is in about EX condition with general handling wear. Names and description of photo have been neatly written in pen on the photo by a previous owner. Front side caption appears to have been trimmed from the bottom border of the photo.
A great lot for the vintage football photograph and memorabilia collector.
