Item Description
Welterweight contender originally from Lewiston, Maine and later out of Glastonbury and Hartford, Connecticut. Active as a pro from 1939 to 1950. Fought Aaron Wade, Jimmy Brooks, Jackie Ryan, Chester Slider, Coley Welsh, Paul Pender, Yvon Durelle and many others.
He is best known for holding the Ripley's Believe It Or Not record of fastest knockout on record, against Ralph Walton in 1946.
