Top Lightweight contender and Boxing Hall of Famer from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Never won the title but beat many Champions during his day. Some of his opponents included: Benny Bass, Ray Miller, Tommy Grogan, Battling Shaw, Harry Dublinsky, Cocoa Kid, Leo Rodak, Pedro Montanez, Lew Jenkins, Sammy Angott, Maxie Berger and many others.
